It is with great excitement that I share a wonderful opportunity for our Youth Ministry and our entire church family. In celebration of
Black History Month, the Youth Ministry is sponsoring a field trip to the
Strathmore to experience the powerful concert,
“Living the Dream… Singing the Dream,” featuring the Washington Performing Arts Children, Men & Women of the Gospel, and the Choral Arts Symphonic Chorus.
This is more than just a concert — it is a spirit-filled celebration where voices across generations come together to lift up truth, hope, joy, and perseverance. It is a beautiful reminder that Dr. King’s dream lives on when we continue to walk in faith, unity, and love. Through music and testimony, our young people will witness how God can use every generation to carry His message forward.
We encourage not only our youth, but also parents and adult chaperones to be a part of this meaningful experience. In the past, this trip has been a blessing to all who attended, young and old alike, and it has always been remembered as a joyful and inspiring time of fellowship.
If you are interested in having your child attend and/or serving as a chaperone, please contact me by email and note the number attending in the subject line, or call Carla Winbush at (703) 895-8866. Tickets are limited, so prompt responses are appreciated.
